A couple of Days ago I ordered a Dell Vostro Notebook.
It has an intergrated ATI/Radeon Xpress 1150 Graphics Card in it.
I know Radeon Cards will work in Linux I've used them before.

But my question is this when I was messin around with the Acer Laptop I bought and it Blew up, While I was running Ubuntu from the Live CD.
It had an Nvidia Graphics Card and it said that the Drivers were Loaded but not in use, I know this was because it was in Live CD at the time.

My question then is with the New Radeon Card I'll have in my New Laptop when I get it in a couple of weeks.
Will it auto install and activate the ATI Drivers?
Or will I have to Start Them???

If I have to start them what Drivers do I need?
And what command line do I have to enter?

Thanks for all your Help....

The ATI fglrx drivers are non-free... Proprietary. They won't be automatically activated. You can install them, but you have to restart after doing so. The live CD won't normally keep such changes. So unless you use live CD persistence, you won't be able to install and use them from the live CD.

Thanks I already knew this.

But was wondering if/what the command lines were? If any...
To activate them once I installed to Hard Disc.

I knew they would need to be dwnld from the repo's.

Thanks though for the insught.
