Hey People, just saw a video of kubuntu hardy on youtube! I like the look of it!
Im currently running Ubuntu hardy 8.04,
and i was wondering is it possible to get the task bar in kubuntu onto
ubuntu because thats the main difference I saw and liked! any help would be
appreciated Thanks!!

That might involve running KWin instead of Metacity/Compiz. Then you can add all the KDE panels you want.

I dont really want to change ubuntu much I just want the task bar! will what your suggesting change ubuntu much?
If you could explain more it would be helpful as i am quite new to this, thanks!

it's called "kicker".Install it and see what happens.Lunch it from a terminal?Maybe you'll whant to remove the gnome thing.
You can install both kde and gnome,if you are interested.

well the kicker is a part of the KDE setup, and its not that easy to use the kicker under gnome or the plasma bar under gnome.
you can just install kde on ubuntu, it will do the system no harm.

I installed the kubuntu desktop, I can choses gnome or kde at start up! its great thanks for the help guys!:popcorn:
