Right heres the deal
I have a neovo monitor with a DVI connetion, when I install unbuntu this works fine untill I installed nvidia accelerated driver (for my 6800 GT) - then it will just go into standby after the ubuntu loading screen.
I tried it with a widescreen acer monitor in the dvi port (with a converter) and this worked fine at full resolution.
So what I tried is connecting the Acer into the VGA and the Neovo into the DVI.. only the Acer displays however will not go above 640x480 (assuming the neovo cant display this res).
I would connect the neovo to the VGA however one of the pins is dead and will not output red lol
Can anyone suggest anything? Its almost as if the card is compatible but the monitor is not.
