hi i am using ubuntu 8.04 and windows xp , so is it possible to install sun solaris , i mean can i use 3 os at a time and is sun solaris easy to use and looks good ??

Sure, you can use it. Bear in mind is it completely different from Linux. It won't be quite the same as going from Windows to Linux, but it will be similar. I'm not going to get your hopes up and say that Solaris will be easy, because it definitely is not. The second you need to install something that isn't in the IPS (and there is hardly anything in there except for developer tools) then you will be doing some serious Googling.

Consider OpenSolaris over regular Solaris. The latter is incredibly stable but requires 6 CDs and isn't better than OpenSolaris outside of the enterprise.

Unless you really want to try something different, a real UNIX, I would not bother with Solaris. Its hard to use, has terrible hardware support, at least the Intel version, and doesn't have as much free software.

The only people that really use Solaris for Intel workstations seems to be Java developers or just UNIX fanatics.

But yes despite its downsides if you want to try opensolaris you can do a triple boot if you have the room
