Hello,
I'm new to linux, Just installed Ubuntu Hardy Hotrod (Ultimate Edition) on my brand new Mac Book Pro Elite. I am very impressed visually with the desktop effects as they perform phenomenally on this machine. The resolution on the Mac Book Pro Elite is an astounding 1920x1200 so the depth and clarity is amazing and all 3d effects operate as smooth as glass. I had no problems with the wireless driver install but now I'm unable to get the audio to work. I tried several work around tips from this forum but nothing helped. Any useful information will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Thanks for responding. The Mac Book Pro Elite is Apples top shelf Mac Book Pro. I didn't even know it existed until i walked into the Apple store. The main difference is it comes with a 2.6Ghz processor vs a 2.5Ghz and a higher resolution screen. 1920x1200 pixel display vs the 1680 x 1050 standard, the 17" dia. workspace has 30% more pixels than the standard model, or as many pixels as the 23-inch Apple Cinema HD Display. You can watch 1080 HD video content at full resolution.
Also, I actually was able to fix the wi-fi problem from that wiki but it doesn't cover audio problems at all.

You should read the other Macbook Pro wiki pages that are linked. The page I linked to are just the differences from the other Macbook Pro page.

I suggest following my guide here - plug in a pair of headphones to make sure you are experiencing the same issue though (very soft output from headphones and no output from built-in speakers)
