No Sound on Kdenlive

i have kdenlive installed on xubuntu. The system was originally an Ubuntu. Anyway after installing i realized no sound will come out of any clips i add on kdenlive. Can some one help. I have a school assignment due in three days...and i need to create a video for it....

Two things:

1. Search for "kdenlive no sound" on Google - there's a result on the Kdenlive bug tracker that might help.

2. If it doesn't help, add the Medibuntu repository and install their version of ffmpeg. (You might need to "Force version" down to it).
