ok, right now I've got ubuntustudio 64 bit running with the realtime kernel, I don't do multimedia manipulation that often but the utilities with studio work well for what I need to do. My confusion is with Hardy studio, I now have 3 main options for sound, Alsa, Pulseaudio, and Jack. I'm set to alsa by default and have been for the past 3 releases, and it's been working great up until hardy, my only problems now is the blatant flash sound problems(can only watch flash content with audio when all other apps using sound are closed). I do use skype, and I saw there were some known issues with pulseaudio with skype, so I was hesitant to switch from alsa to something else. I guess my main question is should I switch to a working alsa configuration to something else? And is there a way to keep alsa but fix the flash issue(i.e. tell flash to use alsa)? I don't have much push to switch to something else, as even when flash does work, it's pretty broken, only youtube works without problems, other sites that have flash only load to a certain amount and then stop buffering altogether.
