View Full Version : [ubuntu] Restricted Nvidia Problem

I've three problems in Ubuntu.
1. Whenever I install my restricted Driver. My display turns okay. but a
Warning message is always there on my Bar.
2. My Nvidia Logo doesn't appears, nither my nvidia control pannel

I have Hp laptop with 8600M GS graphic card.

HI and welcome, what type of warning message on your panel?
Nvidia logo disappears while booting? And you have to install nvidia settings via synaptic manager.

It says that "Restricted Driver is in use so Ubuntu is not " something like this.

Nvidia logo disappears or not I have no idea. Till now I've never seen.

Installation through Synaptec....I've tried. Nothing came out ..it decreased my resolution.
