Hi Guys!

Ive encountered an issue when streaming particular DIVX movies from my DNLA Server "MediaTomb" to my PS3. The error is

"This content cannot be played"

I can ensure that i am able to view the movie on my laptop using VLC however... when it comes to streaming... i can only stream the 1st 1 min... Then the error pops up....

This only happens on a few Movies... some others work perfectly...

Anyone know what might be the issue?

Transcoding is enabled...

Thanks!

Mark

It's because of the PS3 being uber-sensitive and picky about what it want to play and not.
I have a buttload (excuse the foul language) of movis that my ps3 can't play, even though I map avi to divx.

Yeah...
I wonder why they've chosen not to support such a widespread format as avi.
Oh, well whatever. It actually can play most formats if you just "fool the ps3". I think it's some kind of copyright-thingy that prevents .avi and .mov from being played. I guess the people who owns the right to them don't like sony or something.

Most stuff can be mapped to divx via the config xml and most of it can be played. The later firmwares for the ps3 is definitely much better at playing movie clips than the first ones. I guess that if we wait a bit, it'll be solved.
