I cannot get OpenOffice to print mailing labels to save my life. I've managed to get mail merge to work exactly once, but that was for one mailing block per page, not a sheet of adhesive labels. I select "File" > "New" > "Labels" and get as far as the attached screenshot, which claims to be linked to the proper table(s), but what you see is exactly how it prints. You can imagine how the Post Office will love that. Please help. Thanks.

P.S. - Does anyone know of a web-based utility, where I can upload a mailing list database and print of the screen? Seems desperate, I know, but that's what I am right now.

glabels did the job! Thank you a million times over!

One caveat: glabels seems to have some difficulty interpreting various data sources, whether v-cards or CSVs or what-have-you. I got the best results from the v-cards, but even there it just dropped something like 10-20% of my contacts. Weird. Still, OOo is completely useless in this regard.

Furthermore, evidently no program in Linux can print labels alphabetically by last name. What's up with that?
