How do i get the fire minimizing effect in compiz?

(when you minimize the window burns down)

Go to System-Preferences-Advanced Desktop Effects then go to Annimations
(on almost every tab you should see a box that says "animation selection" click on each and click edit, then choose Burn or whatever effects you want)

See the attached screen shot. Double click the top option. It's not obvious i know.

You'll get bored with that, set it to random, I have all mine set to random. :)

What if I dont got all those options? Just a few, is there a command to install more effects?

Run


sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager compiz-fusion-plugins-extra compiz-fusion-plugins-main compiz-plugins

This will download CompizConfig Settings Manager, plus the extra plugins (like fire minimise).
