I have a problem with my glx...
No idea what happened,
but to give you guys all the info i can:

I used to be able to run glxgears and any openGL porgram just fine (got Guild wars working trough wine aswell).
As of an update today i get this error message whenever I try anything that has to do with glx. Even glxgears gives me this error:

Error: glXCreateContext failed

here's my xorg.conf file:

I've een browsing around for any fixes and an old thread says to use this:

cd /usr/lib/xorg/modules/
ln extensions/libglx.so.169.09 libglx.so.169.09
when I run the second command my system tells me it cannot find libglx.so.169.09.

glxinfo gives me this:

I guess an update over-wrote the nvidia drivers. I did: <sudo apt-get remove --purge nvidia*>

and reloaded my driver,,now all is well again.

I am encountering the same problem.

I tried to make fullscreen a visualization from amarok, and it just happened and composite was disabled, although I cannot track the root of the problem.
Now when I am enabling "Desktop effects" I get an error that they cannot be enabled. However avant-window-manager runs flawlessly. Weird, uh? :(

Reinstallation of the driver did not help. :(
