Mythmusic rips crash to Desktop

I have Mythbuntu 8.04 with the latest weekly build along with MythTV v.21. I upgraded from 7.10 and my DVD player can no longer rip music CDs. I can't find a log that shows what is happening. When I go to Music Tools and click on Import CD, the Mythmusic screen flashes and then the Mythfrontend crashes to the desktop. The DVD player works fine with movies. I can play and rip movies with no problems, but not music cds.

Hi, this may be a little late for you, but I had the same problem.
If you have it set to play the CD automatically, you MUST wait for the player to start, and then exit it before you can rip the CD.
If you don't, and it crashes, it will not rip until you eject the CD, and then wait for it to start etc.

In setup, you can disable CD autoplay. but I think you still need to wait for the CD to spin up before selecting import.
