I've installed MythBuntu 8.04 (with a Hauppauge350 to be used for video out). It seems that I'm always stuck at boot process with "Encoder firmware dead!" error.
I can also reproduce this after I do "modprobe ivtvfb". I always get the above "Encoder firmware dead" error. I turned on debug messages and am seeing errors like "passed -1 bytes to socket '/org/freedesktop/hal/udev_event'"
I googled and couldn't find much info. Any help will be highly appreciated as I've been struggling on this for sometime.
