Window borders disappeared in KDE 4.0.3

I have no idea what I did but my windows are completely messed up. The top bar where the close, maximize, and minimize have disappeared. Also, I can't resize windows. Furthermore, none of the window are shown in the task manager. Can anyone help?

On a side-note, I saw that KDE 4.0.4 was released earlier this month. And while the kubuntu website mentions that it is packaged and available as a download, I can't seem to find it in the repositories. Again, any help would make my day.

Sounds like your window manager has crashed, for some reason. Press Alt-F4 and type:

kwin

to restart the window manager. (I think it's kwin - maybe on KDE 4 it's kwin4)

are you trying to use compiz?
if so maybe you need to install drivers for your video card
run system>admin>hardware drivers and see if there is anything you could install

also, get compiz fusion (even if you dont have compiz) becuase it has a restart windows manager feature that i find useful with these graphical errors
