K so, this new computer i got has no wireless card, Is there a wireless USB card i can plug in it and it will work? I'm not sure about ubuntu.

are you using 64 bit or 32 bit?

I've gotten the Trendnet TEW-424ub working in 32 bit. It's not perfect, (I really only use it because it supports monitor mode and lets me bang around on some network stuff) I couldn't seem to get it working in 64 bit though. But it's really cheap, and it works, so for what it's worth.

It's a 32-bit so im pretty sure it will? Do i have to download any speical drivers?

There are some that will work, but look them up on google or linux websites. If Intel makes one, get it.

You might want to check out this list of supported hardware (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/WirelessCardsSupported) but I don't know how accurate/complete it is.
