What's Install Media, Fedora Desktop Live Media, and all that?

I just want to download the .iso file and burn it to a disc, but I'm confused what to do.....

install media has all the packages on the cds/dvd. the livecd can be booted from and it only has the base packages. both can be used to install a full working system
