Hi,
I think this may be simple thing but I can't find it.
I had my operator changed so I got new adsl/wlan box. I used to use wep but tought changing to wpa-psk as I now have new hw and all.
I wanted to use same ESSID. I put my old wep key as phrase/key to wpa.
My very first connect was a success. Then after a while (reboot or logoff or something) I noticed I just can't connect. Network manager kinda tries to connect but very fast reverts to wired connection or to no connection state.
Now I thought it must be some keyring password thingy and I found an app called "passwords and keys" in accessories and deleted "password for wlan" one. Fine, but still no connect.
Next test was to set wlan to no encryption = connect success.
Then wep = again no connect.
Then I thought to change ESSID to something else than my original "spede". I used "edeps" and voilá, wep and wpa worked like a charm!
Now, this is no big deal but how could I restore my original ESSID? I feel the old settings are just lurking somewhere waiting to be deleted after which "spede" will be on air again and use encryption properly.
Any help appreciated.
BR,
Timo
