Tried installing DRI drivers, now OpenGL is broken

Okay, I just tried my hand at installing the DRI driver snapshots for older Radeon cards, but when I did, it actually slowed down my OpenGL performance. So now I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of this stuff. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this short of blowing up my / and starting over (something I really don't want to do)?

I'm no linux guru, but isn't there a log you can go through and just reverse what was changed in the install? I thought re-installing your OS was only for windows users?
