Tuning problem after fresh install

After a fresh install I tried to use the watch tv function, but all I get is just colourful noise and no sound. It looks like something is wrong with the frequency? I have got two pvr500 and all four tuner give the same result. I used six numbers to define the frequency in the backend is it still right in 8.04? Everything worked perfectly before the fresh install.

Hi,

The frequencies are wrong, or you card is configured for the wrong standard (PAL/NTSC).

First check how the cards are configured in mythtv-setup, then get a list of channels/frequencies from your cable provider and update the channel list within myth.

Thank you I will do that. But I have done this almost a hundred times and never experienced this problem. I will come back with the solution or at least a report on the progress.

I seem to have overcome the problem by using the channel number instead of the frequency. So maybe something has changed in 8.04 that make the old frequencies unusable and the only way I succeded was to use the channelnumber. Does anyone have clues?
