View Full Version : [ubuntu] Full-screen video goes to wrong monitor

All,

I just got a desktop and put Ubuntu on it. I'm currently sporting a dual-screen setup, and finally got TwinView to play nicely with it. Currently the monitor on the right is my primary.

Whenever I put an online video in full-screen mode, the video always goes to the secondary (left) screen, regardless of which screen the video was on originally. A DVD video, say, correctly stays on the screen on which the original window was on.

Does anyone know why this is happening, and how to fix it? Basically, I'd like to keep a full-screen video playing on the screen it was on originally, so if Firefox was on the right monitor and a full-screen video played, it would be on the right; ditto with the left.

Thanks for your help.

Mods, feel free to move this thread if you feel that there's a more appropriate forum for it.

Bump.

Experiencing the same problem in Ubuntu 10.04. Only happens on web videos (Firefox). Full-screen web videos only go to the main monitor, no matter which monitor they were on beforehand.

Any thoughts? Is this a flash error?
