View Full Version : [ubuntu] Chipset Atheros 5005G Adapter isn't working

Hello, I am a new user of Linux, running Ubuntu 8.04.

I have a Wireless Lan Board, Samsung VigLan SWL2400, which i think that it hasn't been installed correctly. Ubuntu is using the driver for Atheros.

I can connect to the w-lan of my Internet provider normally. But I must use a pppoe connection to "authenticate" and release the service of the provider.

The problem is that when I try to configure the pppoe connection , the wireless card does not appear as an option, only the onboard network card of my ASUS P5PE-VM. On the Lan Tools, it appears as "Undentified Interface" and when I click on configure, it shows an error msg: "The interface does not exist(...)"
How can I solve this problem?
