Personally I like a blue/gray theme. Which is why I'm using Glossy! WOO! Yay for being able to change themes!

I used to hate the brown theme when I first started using Ubuntu (5.x?) but its got slicker and slicker as times went on and I quite like it now, thats not to say it couldn't do with a makeover.

So, I'd say stick with brown but change the theme to a more modern one.

I say get rid of the brown entirely. It looks dated, and even worse IMO than the gray from the Windows Classic theme. I know that the Ubuntu Artwork Team supposedly modeled the Human Theme colors from Africa, but I think that this is a bit of a misnomer; Africa has many lush green areas, and around the coast there are miles of crystal clear blue ocean. I'm OK if Ubuntu sticks with orange for now, but at least it should be modernized to compete with that of other distros and OSes. OpenSuse 11 probably sports the best Linux theme available, and it truly puts Ubuntu currently to shame.:redface:

I really like the 8.04 theme and colors, so I hope that 8.10 won't change much :)

Everyone likes different colors so that's normal, I don't quite understand why we would change colors anyway.
As long as we can customize our desktop to any color and theme we like, I don't see a problem.

I like the theme as it is. Brown is good. Just so long as I can change it at a later stage.
