In the past few days I have noticed the my postcount has not risen after posting, and rises by 1 approximately once every 3-4 posts.
My postcount was 555 before starting this thread, it is still 555. I reckon that I am owed at least another 10 points (and rising!) on my postcount, and that my label should be changed from 'Village Brew Master' to simply, well, I'll think of something...

I am sorry, I did a quick search, but didn't find your post. Still, it's nice to hear that I am not the only one!

It seems, my friend, that we are in the same proverbial boat.

New posts in the Community Forum don't count. This is done so that people who spend all their time there and no where else do not look like they are "heavy forum users" ... to new users who need help.

Thanks for answering, but this has been happening in the other sections too, I imagine that Master Shake can confirm this.

But they are heavy forum users if they spend there time on this forum alot ;)
It also brings up something else... Lots of other sites have a spam place where you post stupid things and it doesent count towards your post count. People might thing thats the case for the community chat :P
Heh, I just dont like it because I would probably have 800 posts by now if you didnt change that :P

Let me clarify a bit - technical support is the main priority of this forum, and the chat area is a nice bonus area. A "heavy forum user" in general, is someone that's very involved in helping the community overcome any barriers to using Ubuntu.
That is the standard on which we base current post counts.
