hello, i have two hard drives, an 80gb. which has ubuntu on it, and a 500gb. that has vista home premium on it, i want to be able to read music, pictures, and videos off of the hard drive on ubuntu, but it gives me an error when i try to import a folder from that hard drive, it gives me "unable to mount volume" and "you are not supposed to show G_IO_ERROR_FAILED_HANDLED in the UI" so, please help me try to read my vista hard drive!, and thank you for your help :)

What error messages do you get if you put:

sudo mount -a

into a terminal window?

Did you shut windows vista down properly? If not the drive can't be mounted until windows does shut down properly and "lets go" of the drive. If you're unsure, just boot into windows and restart from the start > turn off computer > restart. Now boot into Ubuntu. Then just double-click on that hard drive in Places >"Computer".

Just a suggestion.
