GIMP tutorial requests made by me

I'm just going through the process of making some video tutorials for GIMP, so if anyone wants some specific ones then just ask and I'll post them.

I've only got 10mb limit on Mint upload service but have a uTube account if need be, obviously the ogg videos will be superior quality.

He's a quick one I did showing how to use the selection tool and mask to make a picture like a frame.

I do not have any real requst but perhaps you could look for guides at http://www.gimp.org/tutorials/ and then videonize them :) Good luck!

Half-Left, thanks for your help on the other post. Can you show how to do the reflection in water effect like the one in that (below) picture in Gimp? http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=799439

I still have the impression that only Photoshop can do it.

Yes I have a request with the latest stable version(2.4.5).
I have been starting to learn how to learn layers more,can you give a tutorial on that?
Also on how to use those advanced effects like neon and glow?

Yes I think so now can you like say do that on some random pic?
If so then yes it is.
Ok watched it yes that is somewhat of what I mean't but I also mean't the alpha to logo neon.And other alpha to logo effects.
I have been trouble on how to use them.

Yes you can, you can drag and drop layers from the panel to another picture canvas.

Put the vids on youtube and you then alow V.O.D apps like miro to access them.
Thats the old alien (xfiles) glow script isn't it or did you go the long way around?

All done manually(like the video shows), no point in using scrips to show people how to do this effect. It's on uTube, I have a account.
