I just installed Ubuntu for the first time... so far I am loving it!

I got a message telling me I should install a video card driver and so I did, but after I restarted my computer and I logged in I got a blank white screen. The only way I could get out was to hit the reset button on my comp. It now does this every time after I log on.... in order to get back on to Ubuntu I had to boot using the cd I made. My videocard is an ati radeon X1600.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Boot into recovery mode (you can select this from the grub menu which can be visible if escape is pressed on boot up), then follow the instructions on this page for "Removing the proprietary fglrx driver": https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RadeonDriver
