View Full Version : Ubuntu Development Summit for Intrepid Ibex - How To Follow Up and Participate

May 19th, 2008, 09:22 AM
The Ubuntu Development Summit for Intrepid Ibex has just kicked off. Below you'll find some information on how to follow up on what's going on at UDS, as well as instructions for participating remotely in the sessions. You'll also find threads for each day of UDS where I and others will be reporting on their experiences. Note, however, that this forum isn't the only place where you can follow up on things.

On https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UDS-Intrepid, you'll find general information, as well as a link to the schedule (http://people.ubuntu.com/~scott/uds-intrepid/). When you click on the VoIP links at the top of each track, Ekiga will launch, and you'll be able to hear and participate in the session going on at that room (we have hands-free VoIP phones standing in the middle of the table in each room). Icecast streams are also available. You can also participate via IRC: the general room is #ubuntu-devel-summit at irc.freenode.net, and there are separate rooms for each track of sessions:

#uds-qa for the QA track
#uds-intrepid-server for the Server track
#uds-desktop for the Desktop track
#uds-community for the Community track
#uds-kernel for the Kernel track
#uds-mobile for the Mobile track
#uds-platform for the Platform track

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UDS-Intrepid/Report contains links to report pages for each track, which are notes taken by the moderator of each talk. Please do not edit these pages.

At http://pulseofuds.tweetpeek.com/ , you can find a Twitter feed where some UDS participants will be posting about what they and others up to. There's also http://pulseofubuntu.tweetpeek.com/ , which is a general Ubuntu feed. Unfortunately, tweetpeek is occasionally down today; you can also follow http://hashtags.org/tag/uds/.
