XPS m1330 w/2nd headphone port

Hello

I bought an XPS m1330, and cant figure out how to get the 2nd lineout/headphone port working. When i plug into it, all i hear is the usual static that comes out of the other port when nothing is playing, but when i plug into the 2nd (middle) port, i get nothing.The one on the left works perfectly. Is there an easy and simple fix for this?

first - update to 8.04 and check it out ;o)
second - run alsamixer in the terminal and check volumes - "front" meanss speakers and left slot, "surround" means middle port.

that's all that I can think about fast, hope it works.
