Hi I am new to this ive really hate vista and i want to change to linux especially ubuntu I would really like to know how can i install it and then how can i put all the driver so the laptop will function normally

firstly I would recommend trying the live cd, this will make no changes to your vista install and will allow you to see what works and what doesn't
in live ubuntu
applications>accessories>terminal
lspci -v
lsusb
copy output to a flash drive or if you can get on internet through live cd post directly into a reply.
As and when you feel happy to install ubuntu I would recommend
vista defrag and run
chdsk /f

Yeah but what is the link and how do i run live ubuntu do i have to boot the computer from the cd Im not sure how to run it

if you have downloaded the latest install cd and burned as iso image. then if you put it in the drive and boot from cd/dvd drive you can try it live without installing

I just ordered a HP tx1320 because it was quite cheap for a 12.1" and plan to install ubuntu as well.
I'll post my results as soon as I receive the laptop and try to install ubuntu ( hopefully I'll get it tomorrow )
