mplayer screen goes black

Hello all,

I am facing an issue with mplayer .. when i play a movie .. the screen goes black after a delay of some 10 min ... i have used the option stopxscreensaver but it doesnt solve the problem.

I hava a nvidia graphics card and my videoutput is xv and not x11
I use icewm as the desktop enviornment.

i would try disabling the screensaver manually when watching videos. i'm not sure what the command is in icewm but if you still have gnome apps installed it would be
gnome-screensaver-preferences
