I have accidentally formatted my external NTFS HD. I had then installed Testdisk, when i try to list the files by pressing P it gives me the error continueSegmentation fault.

who can help me? :P

That sounds like this bug (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/testdisk/+bug/216543)

The source for TestDisk is available here (/www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_Download). Perhaps this bug will be removed if you try and compile it yourself.

I don't know of any other partition recovery software but perhaps others do (hopefully).

testdisk really won't recover your data... use photorec that comes with it and it will work for you. I just used it myself a few weeks ago.
