window placement on workspaces doesn't restore properly on logout

Running Compiz Fusion on Ubuntu Hardy for my T61 laptop. I have my session configured to remember the running applications so that auto-start when I re-login. However, ubuntu doesn't restore the application to its correct workspace (I run 5 workspaces, each for a particular application). When I log back in, all the apps are restored to the first workspace.

Does anyone know a fix for this?
