Hey,
When I had gutsy I could connect to my home's WPA wireless network. I was using a usb adapter called linksys WUSB54Gv2 (which is prism54) and ndiswrapper.

Now in Hardy, network-manager tries connecting indefinitely. If I use wpa_supplicant, it too tries connecting indefinitely without getting anywhere.

I can connect to unencrypted networks with no trouble at all. How can I get my system working the way it was in Gutsy? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Have you tried setting it to roaming or perhaps use Wifi Radar?

I've tried roaming mode - it only works when I'm unencrypted.
And I don't think wifi radar would work -- the problem isn't with managing the connection, it's with the low level actually connecting part.

Everything works up to the point where I put in my WPA key -- after that, the network stalls, doesn't connect.

Please feel free to instruct me to collect any more information that would help solve this problem.
