monitor resolution

I installed Ubuntu 8 64 on my computer but after installation cannot see anything on the monitor. My monitor is LG 1680x1050 and my video card is NV GeForce 7600GS. If I try to modify the resolution an error appear: out of range. It is possible to set my monitor to work on 1680x1050 32b colors?

sorry ... I don't understand ... what is #? My monitor is LG 226W (Digital) and in win it works with 1680x1050@60Hz

Greetings hirohitosan,

Just wondering if you got 3d accelration working with your monitor/video card combo. I have the same hardware and I have been unable to get the "nvidia" driver to work.
