Whenever I try to play an mkv in mplayer, using ALSA as the audio driver, and a2dpd as the device, the video stutters, and an error window pops up, saying "[AO_ALSA] Write error: Broken pipe". Mplayer works with avi files for me. VLC does play the audio for an mkv fine, but the performance is so slow the video is unwatchable. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
