Solved. Not the first weird error with ff 2.0.0.14!!!

Hello,

Prior to this update phpmyadmin and webmin worked fine. I can live without webmin, I'ld much rather use phpmyadmin anyway, just haven't uninstalled it yet. Now when I go to load phpmyadmin firefox just sits there and says it's loading www.localhost.com (http://www.localhost.com) If i go to the phpmyadmin dir and try to load the index.php file directly firefox just gets stuck in a loop asking me what to open the file with! Anyone see this before or have a clue???

Any and all replies are greatly appreciated. Below is a link to the history from synaptic showing the updates that I believe are responsible.

Thank You,

Okay, I just found that if I enter in my numeric IP and the port number all is well so, what can this be indication??? Is there a way to alias a text url to a numeric IP:port???
