Did it give any specific error messages, or anything like that?

How is the SL beta for Linux running, especially on Ubuntu? Does anyone have any experience with it? Most particularly, how are graphics running, and what seems to be the best graphics cards/chipsets/drivers?

Thanks in advance.

with my desktop (see my sig) it works just fine. I had to fix the sound it was choppy when i frist started using it. and i dont think i ever did work out how to view videos on it quicktime will not play but other than that its good.

with this laptop nothing works but thats just this hardware Gateway, so far about the only time thats even halfway workable is vista and its slow got this max at 2 gigs of ram. im thinking this is just a foldup emachine
