I hope the question gets a better reception here than my questions have on the Winehq forum. Every time I ask a question there it seems I have to take a ration from the moderator.
I have Ubuntu 8.04 and Wine 1.0rc1. Wine was installed from the binary repository using the install tool. So, everything is pretty much vanilla out-of-the-box.
When I run the Wineconfig tool and go into the audio settings and click the "test" button the tool hangs up and won't close. It does play a sound, it just won't close the window without killing it.
I've searched for some report on this but have not found it. Is this a known issue or is my situation unique?
