Greetings, Just installed Ubuntu Beta; no windows on machine. install looks clean; however, I can't connect to established wireless windows (xp media edition hosted) network; other computers are currently connected and active. using microsoft mn-730 pci adapter on the ubuntu desktop in question. attempted to setup network connection; identified network by correct name, selected wep64, entered correct encryption key, setup responds by returning to the configuration box w/ 128bp selected- not the wep64 I entered and prompting for the 'password'.

It sure did.

And I have the same problem, but unfortunately no solution yet.

So the network-manager keeps asking for your password over and over again?

yes. i've tried the manual setup as well, but to no avail. I just printed http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=571188 and will attempt to follow the procedure... yikes a bit afraid.

I also looked here http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/b43
to determine if I have a supported pci card and its correct firmware.
