I don't have a Mac at all but I want to know that you think.

Hacks from somewhere in this world have gotten into the core files of the Mac OS and created a x86 version for people to download and install on their "PC"

Is this illegal?

It's against the EULA, which is a legally binding document, so until Apple's EULA changes, or is thrown out of court, yes.

I've installed it on my HP dv6000t before, but I didn't like the OS.

Public opinion doesn't determine whether it's illegal or not... it is illegal. Immoral is another question.

Yes. On this forum, the discussion of the use of OS X on non Apple computers is a no-no.
