I'm kind of new to Linux so bear with me. I used to play around with it several years ago but I've forgotten alot since then.

Anyway I got Doom 3 running but it will only run in 640x480 resolution. When I change the settings it requires a restart. Upon restarting the settings revert back to defaults.

Is there a config file somewhere that I need to give write permissions to? Or perhaps its some problem with the nvidia drivers I'm using. I'm using the latest beta drivers that have 9600 GT support.

Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure you have write permissions for your user (files owned by your user and at least write access for owner) on the hidden files and directories located in your home directory under .doom3/.

thats what i was gonna suggest. sounds like it might be a permissions issue.

If you are using a method to bypass entering the CD key, your settings do not get saved when you exit the game.
