I have some problems with CS:Source and other source-games when I play them with Crossover Games. The graphics are lagging too much, the sound are a little delayed and the quality of the sound is very bad. I have no problems in Windows XP with the same games on the same computer. In Windows I can choose between different antialiasing modes - I can't do that in Linux. Any ideas how to solve those problems? I'm using the latest DirectX 9.0c. Ubuntu automatically installed the drivers for my graphics card.
I can play old goldsource games such as CS 1.6, Half-Life, Condition Zero perfectly with Crossover Games.
I'm also able to play Quake 4 native without any problems at all - I guess that shows that my computer (using Ubuntu) is capable of doing heavy graphics.
My graphics card is NVidia 8800GT and my sound card is Realtek ALC883 (onboard). I am using the 64-bit version of Ubuntu 8.04, Core 2 Quad 2.4 GHz and 4 GB ram.
I hope someone can help me solve this so I don't need winxp ;-)
