Improving fps in wine on hardy

Hi i have an ATI Radeon Xpress 200M series on a gateway laptop and I'm trying to run counter strike and starcraft (I am trying to run disc with starcraft) I get horrible fps and I was just wondering if there is any way to fix this, I have direct rendering and the latest drivers installed and the latest version of wine your help will be GREATLY appreciated:)
Also I have searched other threads and have had very little luck finding anything that helped me :confused:

I have direct rendering and drivers properly installed so there is no reason for this not to work :( would I have better luck with cedega???

What driver do you use? Radeon or fglrx?

Sure, it's not really a benchmark, but wich FPS do you get with glxgears?
