I have a Q6600 @ 2.4GHz, EVGA 8800GT 512MB Superclocked @ 650/950/1620 and 2GB of Teamgroup Xtreem Dark DDR2 RAM @ 800MHz. The motherboard is a Gigabyte P35-DS3L. This with Ubuntu 8.04 and Wine 0.9.61. I know there is a newer Wine now, but I've uninstalled Ubuntu the other day and thought of going back again...

Strange... By the way, I installed the drivers through the Ubuntu built-in driver manager... I dunno if that minds. Also I was running at 1680x1050 at max settings.

A while back there was an issue where running at anything other than 1024x768 caused an issue.

I would suggest this might be occurring for some reason. The easiest way to test this is simply set you desktop to 1024x768 and the in game to the same and run the video stress test again.

But I refuse to game on 1024x768 when I can game on Windows at 1680x1050...
