Could it benefit the "Ubuntu on Sparc"-project in general, and "Ubuntu on Sparc desktop" in particular to receive a donation of one or more Sun Blade 100 machines? My former colleagues' company will give away about 10 to 15 machines, 500 MHz, 512 MB RAM and 10 GB HD.

I'd happily take some and try and get ubuntu up and running on them, but err what country are you in?

Yeah, it's a real shame Ubuntu server is no longer being built for or delivered for the Sparc chips. :(
I've got a Sun Blade 150 that is running 6.06LTS server and its great for that. Someday long after the 6.x support runs out I guess it'll have to go to a recycler.
On the other hand, I can understand the lack of manpower to continue these builds considering the low numbers of sparc-based build downloads.

I'd be happy to receive one of these babies so I don't have to waste any more time on my partially working Ultra 10.
