Hello,
I am keeping Windows XP just becouse of World Of Warcraft.

Well, I have a question.

Can World Of Warcraft can work well on Ubuntu? (My laptop is Compaq nc6220).

If it is possible, Do you know a good guide?

uninstall XP and do this ->
1.get latest wine
2.wine wowsetup.exe
3.play

Yes it runs well for me. I have almost everything turned up my res is set above 1024x768, I cant remember exactly...I am at work. but I average between 50-80fps. my specs are 8600gt, AMDx2 2.8GHZ 2GB RAM

I could not tell ya how that card would run, wish I could. Your best bet would be just to install WoW and see for your self.

Well, I've try it..

It is working but very very low FPS.. Any ideas?

Edit: I'll try turn off the compiz( it's "metacity --replace" right?). It's patching now.

open up your system monitor in admin tools, change winserver priority to -15 that should help.

you have to open WoW to the patch session, before you hit play look in system monitor and you should see Winserver.exe

There's your problem. Intel's linux drivers aren't top-notch when it comes to OpenGL. Your best option would be to stick with XP for WoW or run WoW in d3d mode (d3d mode is usually laggy)

I've tried the system monitor thingy.. Didn't help much.

Well, i've dried d3d in the past and it went bad..

i don't know what to do :(

Any other suggestions?
