Space MMO
EVE-Online (http://gaming.gwos.org/doku.php/games:alphabetical:e:eve-online)
Vendetta-Online (http://gaming.gwos.org/doku.php/games:alphabetical:v:vendetta_online)
Multiplayer air sim:
X-Plane (http://gaming.gwos.org/doku.php/games:alphabetical:x:x-plane)
Though none of them are free.
As far as I know ACM (http://gaming.gwos.org/doku.php/games:alphabetical:a:acm) is the only free simulation that support multiplayer.

Is it something new that have been implanted?
EDIT: Doh, I had written it into the entry long time ago, must be a miss on my part.

This may be a bit off what you are really looking for, but I have been getting hooked on BZFlag lately. It's ostensibly a tank game, but there's a lot of "jumping" and you can fly your tank around if you run over a "Wings" flag. It's a gas -- try it! sudo apt-get install bzflag

You may try to execute the following command from a terminal:
bzflag -window -geometry 1280x1024+0+0
Of course you can change those 'geometry' parameters accordingly to your resolution(s).
Good luck.
