Openarena crashes after 10 min. Wierd colors.

Title says it all.
When I play Openarena for about 10 min, it crashes into window mode and shows a cursor in the middle of the game. I can't push anything on the keyboard to make it work and I can't move the mouse. Also the colors on the whole desktop get really messed up. The only way I can get it to stop is to push the power button and select "Log off" with the arrow keys.

Does anybody know why this is happening?

First try disable compiz and see if it helps.

I had that problem with World of Padman, and realized after a bit of poking around that it was the screensaver, which defaults to kicking in at 10 minutes. Disable it, or greatly extend the time before the screensaver kicks in, and you should be okay. Hopefully :).
