[SOLVED] VGA and DVI plugs. Use one or both?

My video card has a vga plug socket and a dvi plug socket.
My monitor has a vga plug socket and a dvi plug socket.

Do I want to have vga and dvi both connected or only the vga or dvi? Or does it matter?

DVI = digital
VGA = analog
You should just use the DVI if you have the choice.
